A Letter to Students
Oh how I miss being in class with you all!
Routines - Monday to FridayWe are starting slowly! This week let's begin to set up some home routines. Consider having a Monday-Friday morning routine so that the school work is out of the way and students can play and create freely. One Hour a DayStudents should do about 1 hour of school work a day. Reading and Math will be every day, and then students will have a choice of their other activity. Take a Break!Play is an important part of how kids learn. Make sure your child gets at least 40 minutes of play time where they can use their imagination and move things around with their hands. Physical ActivityEach day, students should get outside for at least 40 minutes to do something physical.
Go NoodleUse the free family.gonoodle.com website to do some fun movement breaks inside! Let's Keep In TouchPlease let me know how your remote learning time is going. I can easily make changes and adjust things to suit your family. I always enjoy see a photo of what you have been up to! Check out our Gallery to see what others have been doing. Ms. Doddridge
We will be taking this process slowly and building up our stamina. There are many ways to do this and I want to help support you, the families and students, find a method of remote-schooling that works for you. This time is a new September. We are settling in to new routines, getting our supplies together, and discovering what the next few months will look like. Students are able to go on Raz-Kids and Prodigy when they are ready. Please aim for at least 15 mins on each website a day. These sites will help maintain fluency in math and reading and help students practice their skills. Paper work packages will be ready for pick up after Easter (April 14-17). Families can go to the gym doors between 9-2 to receive their work package. Ms. Doddridge
